How the Multipack Calculator works
Multipacks spread one FBA fee and one set of packaging over several units, so the per-unit fee load drops. The trade-off is the discount customers expect for buying more.
This calculator prices both offers with the same category referral rate and your two FBA fees, then compares profit per unit so you can see which listing earns more from the same inventory.
Formula
- Single profit = Single price − Unit cost − Shipping − Referral − FBA − Ads − Returns
- Pack profit = Pack price − N × Unit cost − N × Shipping − Packaging − Referral − Pack FBA − Ads − Returns
- Pack profit per unit = Pack profit ÷ N
- Fee saving per unit = (N × Single fees − Pack fees) ÷ N
Example
A 3-pack at $29.99 earns about $1.50 more per unit than $12.99 singles because it pays one FBA fee instead of three.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get the pack FBA fee?
Measure the packed bundle and run it through the FBA Fee Calculator, or read it from Seller Central's revenue calculator.
Should I list both?
Usually yes, as variations of one listing. The single captures price-sensitive buyers; the pack raises average order value.
